Transformer is Lou Reed's bestselling second solo album, co-produced by David Bowie and Mick Ronson (the late guitarist who played with Bowie's Spiders From Mars). Klaus Voorman, famed session bassist who designed the cover of the Beatles' Revolver album and played on John Lennon's and George Harrison's solo albums, plays bass on Transformer. The album contains several of Reed's most enduring classics, including "Walk On The Wild Side", "Perfect Day" and "Vicious". Transformer is ranked #55 in NME's list of the Greatest Albums of All Time.
