Generation X - Self Titled

Generation X emerged from the English punk movement of 1976, rising from the remnants of the band Chelsea. The group featured Billy Idoland Tony James, both of whom went on to achieve notable success as solo artists and as members of the band throughout the decade andbeyond. Recorded in just one week in a converted garage. The record introduced a cleaner, more refined sound, with a particular emphasis on focused vocals, and is often cited as an early influence on the development of the pop-punk genre. Although initially underrated, the album stands as a compelling snapshot of the era, reaching the UK Albums Chart and featuring the single "Ready Steady Go."Lead singer and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Billy Idol remains active as a solo artist and continues to tour.
